Grand Marshal: Ray Murphy
Ray Murphy has served as the Chair of the Gold Cup Parade Committee for twelve years. In 2010 he assumed the role of Parade Chair and has led a group of volunteers to manage the event each year. Ray is a true community leader in all aspects of his life. He is the Founder of Murphy’s Pharmacies and has achieved numerous successes as a pharmacist and entrepreneur, including being inducted into the Order of Canada in 2017, receiving the 2018 Pillar of Pharmacy Award, and being named the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce. Ray and his wife Carolyn founded Murphy’s Pharmacies Community Centre, a non-profit facility with a mission to enhance the lives of Islanders through recreational and social programming.
